Maria’s involvement in independent schools started in 1984 as a parent and for the last 25 years has been very active as a Board member, Trustee and Foundation Director. She continues to participate in a host of committees:  IT, Marketing, Infrastructure, Governance, Head of School Search Committee and Strategic Planning and is Chair of the 150th History Book Project Committee.

She is a member of the Board of Governors of Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, Ontario and sits on the Advancement, Nominating and Presidential Search Committees.
